May 24, 2013 at 6:39 pmUnfortunately we can't do this with 6 as it does not have the debug feature (one of the main features added to 7 was this capability). A special build of 6 would need to be made, and that would essentially duplicate the work done for 7, which means you would basically be running 7 (though it would make more sense to run the current version).

May 24, 2013 at 11:42 pmI've checked with development and they have been able to recompile CSSToXSL.dll for use with XMetaL Author 6 including the fixes that were put in there for 7 and 8 to resolve issues that sound related to this one, but without other changes that require XMetaL 7 or 8.
If you contact XMetaL Support they can provide you with a copy of this special version of the DLL to see if it resolves your issues in 6.
You can't swap in the DLL from a 7 or 8 installation as the version included with those releases includes additional functionality (some new APIs) that would crash XMetaL Author 6.
Note that this is not the debugging I mentioned previous. XMetaL Author 6 doesn't support it (7 and 8 support Microsoft's “procdump” tool). Replacing this DLL in 6 and then trying to reproduce the issue is all that would be done to test this.
