XMetal 5.5 / DITA on German OS?
May 8, 2009 at 12:26 pmParticipants 2Replies 3Last Activity 13 years, 9 months agoHi,
Can the different named folders on a German windows OS cause problems when generating PDF / Help for DITA source files?
For example “Documents and Settings” is “Dokumente und Einstellungen” and in the
C:Documents and SettingsyourusernameApplication DataSoftquad contains a cached version of the DITA-OT and other settings.
If there is any hard-coded reference from XMetal to Documents and Settings, it will go wrong.I think most is going OK. But my colleague in Germany cannot view the Output log regardless if the output was build succesfully or not. While in both cases it can be viewed to check minor or major problems.
Thanks,
