Webhelp publication issue with a Dita Topic multiple times

Hi,

in my DITA map I have a DITA Topic that appears multiple times. e.g. structure below:

– Map 1
 – Topic 1
 – Topic 2
   – Topic 2.1
   – Topic 1

Note that 'Topic 1' is located 2 times: once just under the main map and second time as sub topic of 'Topic 2'

The problem is when I select the first instance of 'Topic 1' the second instance is selected in the ToC tree in the left panel. seems like always the last instance is selected in the tree. The content panel obviously displays the correct content. only the ToC tree is confusing.

Will appreciate your help.

I am using XMetaL version 9.0.

This is a known limitation with the WebHelp ToC as this scenario was not taken into account during the design. The assumption was made that a map would not include two references to two different files with the same topic title.

At this point I suspect there is no way to correct this without completely redesigning the way the ToC with WebHelp functions so it is unlikely we would attempt to do so.
