June 19, 2009 at 4:06 pmThis is not done with CSS as standard CSS has no properties for specifying this (yet).
This is configured in the CTM file. In the XMetaL Developer help look for the “Treat As” and “Image” information. Note that there are also special behaviors for “Paragraphs”, “Lists”, and “Toggling” elements (and we may expand this functionality in future to include other special behaviors).
If you don't have XMetaL Developer the same information is available in the Customization Guide available for download here: http://na.justsystems.com/content-support-user-guides
Or if you just want an example and are hand coding your CTM (we really recommend using Developer for this) have a look at the journalist.ctm file in XMetaL Author's Rules folder for the “InlineGraphic” element inside the
section of that file. pvallone June 22, 2009 at 4:15 pm

June 22, 2009 at 4:15 pmThanks Derick. I am using XMetaL Author, so I am guessing I need XMetaL Developer?

June 22, 2009 at 8:14 pmIt depends how much customization you will be doing. I would recommend it for almost everyone except perhaps old XMetaL developers that are familiar with the file formats, including in this case the CTM file format.
However, you can learn a lot from the Journalist demo files and back that up with the information available in the Customization and Programmer Guides here: http://na.justsystems.com/content-support-user-guides
