version of XEP with XMetaL 8.0

we get an error message when publishing to PDF that is caused by XEP.
This error is corrected in XEP version 4.19, while XMetaL comes with XEP 4.18 (and current version at XEP site is 4.21?).Can we just update the XEP folder with a newer version?

1. The legality of doing this. Can I recommend it given our agreement with RenderX and in turn does the license they grant you to use XEP with XMetaL Author Enterprise allow that? I don't know that answer to this. Hopefully our legal guy will let me know.
2. Will it technically work. I suspect this is true as we do not alter RenderX XEP, we simply install it when XMetaL Author Enterprise installs and provide a license file that enables it for use with the XMetaL installation.
