Spellchecker for Xmax CAB installation
April 29, 2009 at 2:27 pmParticipants 1Replies 2Last Activity 13 years, 9 months agoHi!
Is there any way to install the spellchecker for the Xmax ActiveX control when it is embedded in a webpage? At the moment we have a link to the writingtools exe where our customers can install it themselves. But it feels like there should be an easier way to do this. I have read the documentation and the section entitled IsSpellCheckerInstalled and it would seem that there isn't any automatic way of solving this? If this is the case, are there any plans for a better integration between Xmax and a spellchecker?
Regards,

April 29, 2009 at 7:40 pmWe have partners that have packaged their own CAB installer and we have provided one partner with a custom CAB version of Writing Tools (custom work). There are no plans at the present time to do the same for general release though we might consider it in future given enough demand.

May 13, 2009 at 11:49 amThanks for the reply. We'll have to see just how irritating this is for our customers before we can consider paying for a custom CAB. For the moment only a few of our customers are affected by this.
