Rebuilding xm_webhelp.jar
June 11, 2012 at 5:08 pmParticipants 1Replies 2Last Activity 10 years, 7 months agoAs a first step to begin modifying the WebHelp search functionality, I tried rebuilding the %AppData%SoftQuadXMetaL SharedDITA_OTdemowebhelplibxm_webhelp.jar file without modifying any of its .java files:
- GenerateWebhelpTask.java
- GetTempDirTask.java
Unfortunately, the rebuilt xm_webhelp.jar file doesn't work correctly, as the original does. I used Eclipse with JRE7 (and I also tried it with JRE6), along with the requisite packages:
- %AppData%SoftQuadXMetaL SharedDITA_OTlibdost.jar
- %AppData%SoftQuadXMetaL SharedDITA_OTtoolsantlibant.jar
I have attached the original xm_webhelp.jar file which ships with XMetaL 7. Could someone verify whether its .java files are up to date? If they are, any thoughts on why the rebuilt .jar file fails or are there any special settings required to build it correctly in Eclipse?

June 11, 2012 at 11:52 pmWe've just retested this here with the following and don't see any issues:
Eclipse SDK Version: 3.5.2 Build id: M20100211-1343
Compiler – JRE 1.5 compliance levelPerhaps you can detail what exactly is going wrong with what you have built?
