Read-Only Elements in XMAX 5.5
December 10, 2009 at 11:26 amParticipants 1Replies 2Last Activity 13 years, 3 months agoIs it possible to create a read-only element in XMAX? Either by some property or setting it in the schema.
The situation is I have a element
that will be automatically generated and will act as a unique identifier, so I do not want the user to be able to edit this tag, although it must be visible. Thanks

I have found the Selection.ReadOnly and Selection.ReadOnlyContainer properties in the Help file.
Thanks

December 10, 2009 at 6:50 pmRelated APIs include:
Selection/Range.NonRemovableContainer
Selection/Range.WritePermittedContainerAll of these combined can usually (always?) give developers enough control over the document to stop the user from doing “bad” things when you feel it is necessary.
