At the very least (if you do not wish to follow the posting guidelines posted here http://forums.xmetal.com/index.php/topic,384.0.html) please state the full version and the name of the product you are working with when posting. “XMetaL” is a brand name and might mean any of the following:
XMetaL Author Enterprise
XMetaL Author Essential
XMAX (originally named “XMetaL Author for ActiveX”)
XMetaL Author Enteprise for Documentum Webtop
Your problem may be corrected in a newer version, it may just function differently in different versions or it may be newly introduced in the version you are using.
Having the full version number will help others figure out if they see the same thing in the version they are using.Su-Laine Yeo February 12, 2010 at 9:21 pm

To see the version number, click Help > About XMetaL Author Enterprise or Help > About XMetaL Author Essential.
For XMetaL Developer the version number is in the list of Visual Studio plug-ins in Help > About Visual Studio.
For XMAX either right click on xmcontrol.dll to check its properties or run the API ShowAbout().
