Pasting xml into xmetal, xmetal nests element inside another element
October 10, 2014 at 6:28 pmParticipants 0Replies 1Last Activity 8 years, 3 months agoHi,
For our User Guide and Data Sheet schema, we have a register table that is comprised of an BitRegister element followed by a RegisterDesc element. These are sibling elements. One of our engineers decided to generate plain xml to load into one of these schemas, in xmetal. When the xml is pasted in, the RegisterDesc element is nested INSIDE the BitRegister element. Once this happens, xmetal, rightly, says that the RegisterDesc element cannot be contained in the BitRegister element. As far as i can tell, the xml being pasted is valid.
Anyone seen anything like this? Any ideas where to look to fix this?
Any help, as always is appreciated!
thaks,
Russ
