Modifying attributes on conref source elements.
September 7, 2012 at 6:14 pmParticipants 1Replies 2Last Activity 10 years, 5 months agoI've created a conref to a paragraph. I now need to modify an attribute on the conref source element (the one with the conref attribute). That requires me to place my cursor inside the conref source element. But, I'm unable to place my cursor inside the element, presumably because the element contents are read-only.
The only workaround I've found is to switch to text view and back. This removes the referenced content, then I can place my cursor inside the conref source. Is there a better way to do this? Maybe some scripting code I can change?
I'm using XMetaL 6.0 on Windows 7. It's with SDL Trisoft, if that makes any difference.

September 7, 2012 at 6:30 pmI think I understand your need.
Right click on the conref'd element and select “Show Local Content”. You can then modify the “local content” at will.
To show the “referenced content” again right click on it again and select “Show Referenced Content” or simply press F11 to “refresh all references”.
