Lanuage support for PDFs

I was trying to build my PDFs in Chinese and Japanese and found that my characters aren't appearing. I used the steps that Derek outlined for XMEE 5.1, but still can't get the fonts to embed into the PDF. Is there something different or different files I need to change for XMEE 6.0?
