Just a question about bitwise
September 11, 2020 at 10:58 amParticipants 3Replies 3Last Activity 2 years, 6 months agoIt’s been over a year since I proved I could get xMetal 7 working in a 100% 64 bit environment. I have Windows 10 64 bit, MS Office 64 bit, Filesite 64 bit(Office add-in), and a custom DLL that ties xMetal to Filesite. (Filesite is document management software we’ve been using for 15 years) We are moving to xMetal Author 11 and I went back to my old machine and realized I had xMetal 7 on it. I remember recompiling my DLL for 64 bit to make it all work. Now, I don’t understand how it even works. Is there a 64 bit version of xMetal 7? How do I tell if that is what I have installed. It’s my understanding that all software in the chain has to be the same bit.
Thanks,
Peter

September 11, 2020 at 4:54 pmOn Win10(64-bit), if you launch XMetaL(32bit), you will see “(32 bit)” in the task manager.
