I cannot get the customizations to appear, same code for years just stopped

Our normal install just stopped working on at least 7 users machines including my 2 and I'm an admin. I have removed xmetal via the control panel, ran a blast radius wipe program, removed all *.tbr from c:, removed the blast radius folder.
Did a clean install of XMetal with no other installs (Datastream or LCS) So a virgin XMetal. THe tool bar has options from Datastream and our internal programming group, LCS, but they don't work. 1)How are they showing up? 2) More info. Normally File Open calls a .dll called XMCustom which in turn calls our document management system. Now File Open goes right to the file system, My Documents, but with a file open and I try to open a 2nd one it does call the docmanagement system and all the customizations show up.

November 10, 2009 at 8:01 pmPeter, I know the US House of Representatives customization is very complex (last time I downloaded it was about 50MB or so). It sounds like we will need to have a lot more information about what has changed on these particular systems. Perhaps some kind of security application or something else has been installed without your knowledge that is blocking files from being loaded, stopping scripts from running, stopping scripts from reading and / or writing to the file system, blocking your DLLs, or something else. These are all just guesses at this point.
It would be best to submit a support case through the website (http://na.justsystems.com/contact-support.php) so the XMetaL Support team can gather information on your configuration and try to troubleshoot this.

Just one more bit of info…
It's mainly File open. With no files open XMetal is not running our customized file open, it is running a “default” file open to the file system. When we have any files open (Bill or Amendment) and we do a file open it does execute the correct customized file open.

November 16, 2009 at 7:19 pmSo, this really looks like a customization installation problem and is being handled internally by the people that create and test this installer at the US House of Representatives (I believe Kirsten is involved).
