How to add topicref attribute inside a reltable?
March 1, 2012 at 7:49 amParticipants 2Replies 3Last Activity 10 years, 11 months agoUsing XMetal 6.0.
Is there a way to define the topicref attribute (linking) for topics inside the reltable? If I select multiple topics (both in tags on and plain text) in the relcell and define the attribute, it does not change the topicref attribute–it changes the relcell attribute.
Right now, I'm specifying the value manually.
Hope you can help! Thanks!

March 6, 2012 at 12:49 pmUnfortunately I believe you can change attribute values only for one
at a time. Once you select multiple s within a relcell, XMetaL assumes you want to update the parent element. Paul Masalsky

March 13, 2012 at 1:20 amYes, that is the current behavior 🙁
I was hoping there's another way of defining attributes for multiple topicrefs.Derek Read March 13, 2012 at 7:20 pm

March 13, 2012 at 7:20 pmYou can use the Find and Replace dialog to set an attribute on elements of the same type (same name).
See attached screen capture for an example that shows how to do this for @linking.
Note: This will only work in Tags On or Normal view. For Plain Text view only the Text tab will work in this dialog. -
