Excel Automation in XMETAL 5.5
March 30, 2011 at 8:22 amParticipants 2Replies 3Last Activity 11 years, 10 months agoHello
I am using Xmetal 5.5, I just want to automate the content creation, What is the best way to follow this.? If there are any documentation for scripting that would be really helpful
Thanks
Manish

March 31, 2011 at 6:33 pmYou may wish to search for “DBImport” in the XMetaL Developer Programmers Guide. I'm not sure that is what you are looking for though (it provides an interactive way to interface with any ODBC compliant software, including Excel).
If you wish to interact with Excel via its COM interfaces directly it can be done but there is no documentation for that. If you can provide more detail on a specific simple example that would help you I might try to create something and post it here.
