Our department has decided to migrate to XML schemas for our DITA publishing workflow, but we've found that XMetal doesn't support the element which serves as the basis for specialization in the DITA 1.4.2.1 schema set. Obviously, this limitation makes such a migration impossible unless we acquire a different authoring tool. Could you tell me if XML Schema 1.1. support will be available in an XMetaL release coming out within the next 12 to 18 months?
