I'm running Developer Version 6.0.1.023 on 64-bit Windows 7 with Visual Studio 2005. When I build the project I get the message “Failed to create XAC output file” and the XAC is, indeed, not created. There are no other error or warning messages.
It can't be a permission problem because XMetaL is creating the BuildProject folder and creating other files in it. Just to make sure I ran VS as administrator – no change.
Can anyone suggest how I might get some more information on what is going wrong?
