January 23, 2009 at 6:12 pmI'm not sure why you would want to change it. Is the wrong number appearing?
Do you have a specific example of content that will cause the wrong page number to appear in the TOC? That seems unlikely, though I suppose it is possible. Perhaps you've messed something up in your XSL-FO?
If you're asking something else please provide more detail.

January 29, 2009 at 3:42 ami'm asked to find out whether it's able to do so.. and it's not that the numbering is wrong.. yes, the number is in correct order but i don't want it to appear as 1, 2, 3.. i want it to appear at 1.14.1, 1.14.2.. is it possible?

January 29, 2009 at 9:50 pmOK. You wish to change how it appears, including the the actual content displayed and this content includes a lot more information than just the page number.
Changing the header and footer using parameters is supported by our PDF3 output, which appears as “XMetaL Enhanced PDF via RenderX XEP” in our UI. Modifying footers and headers is described in Appendix B of the XMetaL Author Enterprise help.
However, what you want to do is more complicated and will require some pretty advanced XSLT + XSL-FO changes. It looks like you want to inject some additional text. The first thing anybody attempting to answer this question would need to know is what these additional number values represent. What are they counting. You've got what appears to be the page number prefixed by two other numbers separated by periods in your example:
. . Please try to be more specific with your exact needs in future posts. Having to guess at what your are doing, even trying to guess which questions to ask, will make it less likely that anyone will want to try to help.
