I have downloaded the trail version of xmetal enterprise edition 5.5 for sharepoint. After installation I found that all the menu item under repository are disabled. How to configure the Xmetal so that the menus get enabled and I can access the sharepoint document library from xmetal. Thanks and Regards

October 26, 2009 at 7:29 pmI think you may have XMetaL Author Enterprise 5.5 as we do not make a trial version of XMetaL Author Enterprise for SharePoint available. If you downloaded the trial version here that would be the case: http://na.justsystems.com/content-support-downloads
XMetaL Author Enterprise for SharePoint is a separate installer from XMetaL Author Enterprise that extends the functionality of XMetaL Author Enterprise to allow it to connect to a SharePoint server.
The menu items in the the Repository menu are there as a standard part of XMetaL Author Enterprise but only become enabled when a CMS connector that properly supports them is installed. These include Documentum, FileNet, SharePoint and various other connectors, developed, maintained and provided by our CMS partners.
If you are interested in obtaining a copy of XMetaL Author Enterprise for SharePoint you will need to contact our sales team. They may be able to demo it for you, or provide you with a copy you can install, though the terms for that may need to be negotiated (including a letter of destruction, etc).
