As XMetaL Developer is used to create customizations for XMAX, and XMetaL Author Essential, and XMetaL Author Enterprise, the Programmers Guide is included with XMetaL Developer and not these other products. They are considered “end user” software and so only include documentation specifically for end users that pertains to their standard functionality and not information about how to customize them.
