Not in Tags On or Normal view. You didn't say which document type you are working with but I assume because the Table functions are working you are working with a document that supports either HTML or CALS tables.

Two options I can think of that are easy solutions:

1. Create an empty table of the appropriate size. Select all the cells from the existing table before the rows you want to delete and paste that content into the new table. Do the same for the content after the rows you wish to delete.

2. Switch to Plain Text view. Select the markup for the rows you want to get rid of and delete it.

There might also be a scripting solution. I'll see if I can come up with something.
