Xmetal Developer Installation

Hi all

I am new to Xmetal.
I have installed Xmetal Author and Developer on my machine.(5.1)
There seems to be some problem with my xmetal developer.
I have the Bin, DwPrjProjectItems,DwPrjPrjects, Help and Samples folder in my installation folder.
I can open and make xmetal projects in VS also, but there is nothing in the BuildProjects after build.

What am I missing? Can anyone help me sort this out?

There were no errors raised during installation?
And there are no errors raised when you do a build?

You might want to double check your settings in Visual Studio in the Configuration Manager for the project/solution to see that there are no special post build steps or anything that is mucking this up.

If not that's pretty strange. I'm not sure I can think of anything except to try reinstalling either XMetaL Developer or both Visual Studio and XMetaL Developer.

If you can provide more information (ie -- what's listed here regarding OS, service packs, product version, etc: http://forums.xmetal.com/index.php/topic,384.0.html) some part of your configuration might stick out as being the trigger.

There were no errors during install.
The Visual Studio Project Configuration also looks fine.

When I click "Properties" in Project there is this error

OS- Windows XP sp2
Xmetal - XMetaL(R) Developer 5.1. Version 5.1.1.049.
VS -
MS Development Environment 2002 v 7.0.9466
MS .NET Framework 1.0.3705

Can you suggest something now?

This CLSID is not one we use and I don't think we have any that are close to this either.

The first section, '5ASEEDC', appears to be bogus so I'm not sure why Visual Studio would be reporting it. A standard CLSID has 8 characters in the first section and a CLSID when reported this way constists of hex digits (0-9 and A-F). This one contains an "S". There is certainly something odd going on with your computer if this is the behavior you are seeing.

For COM components (such as parts of XMetaL Developer), Windows uses a GUID coded in text form (when stored in the Registry and used in other places in code, error messages, etc), which take following form:
