Symptoms:
You are running XMetaL Author Enterprise on a German edition of Windows. After generating output from a DITA topic or map if you ask to view the log file (using the "View Output Log..." menu item) you are shown the error "No log file exists".

Solution:
We have a patch for this issue. It requires the manual replacement of one script file. Clients that would like a copy of this patch can submit a case to XMetaL Support requesting it.

The patch is only available for XMetaL Author Enterprise 5.5 and 5.5 SP1 and should be considered temporary as we plan to include the same fix in our next major release.
