Changing dialog properties
«

While a user is completing editorial changes in XMetaL 6.0, if the accept/reject changes dialog is active they can’t freely edit the topic. If they need to make any changes independent of the editorial changes, they must close the accept/reject changes tool, make the edit, re-open the tool, and proceed with their editorial changes.
Is there a way to change this dialog from modal to modeless so the user can work freely within the topic while the accept/reject changes dialog is open?

Making that dialog modeless is not something we plan on doing at the moment (there are currently 0 requests for that feature). If you would like to submit a feature request to XMetaL Support they could file it for you.
Perhaps the feature you are looking for is already in XMetaL Author Enterprise 8.0 (and coming soon with XMetaL Author Essential and XMAX 8.0). In 8.0 you can right click on a revision (or select it and press Shift+F10) and select "Accept Change" or "Reject Change" from the content menu.

The alternative would be to create your own modeless dialog (or control) and call the appropriate APIs from there. Or you might add it to the context menu yourself (though upgrading to 8.0 would probably be easier). There are APIs for accepting/rejecting current change and all changes. There are APIs for finding the previous and next change and there is an API you can use to check if a change can be accepted or rejected.
