Description:
You have XMetaL Author Enterprise installed and are attempting to install XMetaL Author Enterprise for Documentum Webtop. The installer displays a dialog containing an error similar to the following:

Error 1606.Could not access network location "C:\Program Files\XMetaL 7.0\Author\.

The path indicated will vary depending on the version you are installing.

Solution:
1. Exit the installation of XMetaL Author Enterprise for Documentum Webtop.
2. Reboot your machine. This step will make sure instances of XMetaL Author Enterprise or any other software that may be conflicting with the installer are not running (including other setup.exe processes).
3. Launch the "Add or Remove Programs" app in the Windows Control Panel.
4. Locate your installation of XMetaL Author Enterprise and click the "Change" button.
5. From the list of options that are provided select "Repair" then allow the repair process to complete.
6. Run the installer for XMetaL Author Enterprise for Documentum Webtop.
