One of my fellow writers is trying to use conrefs. Per the recommended procedures, he has created a library topic containing the conref items. The topic is in the map, but he has flagged it to not be printed.

When he generates a TopLeaf PDF, this topic is still included in the output. When he generates a PDF using the XMetaL process, it is not included.

How do we go about excluding this topic while allowing the material to be used in other topics?

The TopLeaf documentation doesn't really discuss conrefs.

The OT is responsible for resolving conrefs, so TopLeaf never gets to see them.

If you have a topicref that shouldn't be included in the output, then add a mapping to override the default processing. For example:
Code:
topicref[processing-role="resource-only"]
The mapping doesn't need to do anything, it just prevents the default topicref mapping from being used.
