Our bookmeta tag includes the following information:

  <bookmeta>
    <keywords>
      <keyword>Product name</keyword>
    </keywords>
    <bookrights>
      <copyrfirst><year>2011</year>
      </copyrfirst>
      <copyrlast><year>2012</year>
      </copyrlast>
      <bookowner>
        <organization>Company name</organization>
      </bookowner>
    </bookrights>
  </bookmeta>

We need to use the <organization> tag content to populate the PDF Author metadata, and the <keyword> tag to populate the PDF keywords.

I added the following variable to the organization tag Custom content:

<set var="BookAuthor" meta="pdf.author" copy="content"/>

And also initialized it under the $document tag, but it does not populate the Author field.

We were able to use the meta="" to populate the title field.

<set var="FirstBookTitleAlt" meta="pdf.title" copy="content"/>

Any idea why the organization version isn't working? Does it have something to do with it being part of bookmeta?

Can you run in Debug mode and check the log to see that the mapping in question is being run.

The fact that it fails even when you initialize in $document suggests that the value is either not being used at all, or is being overwritten prior to use.
