Product: XMetal 6.0.1
Platform: Windows 7 Pro x64

1. Go to generate output for manual
2. Select the "Show/Hide Conditional Text" button, which opens the window
3. Checkmark a different attribute value
4. Application responds with a script error: "this.applyButton is null or not an object"

Screenshot attached. Anyone seen this error or have a solution?

I have seen that same error before in the same dialog. I remember it was after doing some odd click sequence but can’t reproduce it now (maybe it’s been fixed in sp1). Canceling out of the dialog and coming back in fixed it before.

I get the same error on a couple of my writers machines, did you find a solution?

Hi! One of my team members keeps encountering this dialog. Has anyone found a way to prevent the error from appearing? Any ideas?

If you are seeing this under the same conditions as the initial poster keep in mind that XMetaL Author Enterprise 6.0 is not supported on 64-bit versions of Windows.

If the issue is reproducible with the current release (8.0) please let us know as we are unable to reproduce the problem here at JustSystems.

Thanks for the quick reply, Derek!

We just upgraded to 64-bit laptops. We have XMetaL v6.0 now with Documentum Webtop 6.5. We have XMetaL v7.0, but have not installed it yet. We are acquiring XMetaL v8.0 and checking that it is compatible with Documentum Webtop 6.6 because we plan to upgrade our server. I'll let you know if this issue persists after that. Thanks again!

The connector for Documentum and XMetaL Author Enterprise 8.0 is not ready yet. It is "coming soon". The release date is contingent on timing with Documentum and will target Webtop 6.7 SP2 (only).

So for now clients using Documentum can use XMetaL Author Enterprise 7.0 release (at most). It supports Documentum Webtop 6.5 SP1/SP2/SP3 and 6.6.

Anyone reading this in weeks (or months) from now (check posting date) be sure to check the current status with our sales team.
