XMetal XMAX dictionary

Whatever I know about the loading dictionary on XMAX as below:
when we are installing XMAX then there will be some clickable link to install the "XMetaL Writing Tools installer to a network server". from here we can copy the dictionary file to server. and in client we need to copy that file when going to use that. That mean if we are adding some word into the dictionary then that will be added t the client machine and will not affect the server file. We can check through code whether dictionary file is there in client machine or not. If not we can install through some code. So is my understanding fully correct or not? And one more question if I am correct then where the dictionary will be copied in client?

That sounds about right.
The one thing that is left out is that the Writing Tools installer is not just a "dictionary file" it really is a separate control with various DLLs to support different languages in addition to the "dictionaries". We install it separately because people that don't want spelling can then just install XMAX alone at under 10MB.
If someone makes a change, to add a word for example, that is recorded in a *.UWL file (user word list). The location may vary as you can specify any location (as a user). You can find this location by running the spell checker and selecting Options > User Word Lists. Click on one of the word list files listed and then click the Add List button and you should be taken to the folder containing that file. By default files will be placed in "My Documents\Corel User Files\XMetaL 4".
