Creating new menu to use the macro
«

I am trying to create a new menu item to use my recorded macro. I can create a new menu item. But I am not able to select the macro from the properties field set. Because it is disabled.
Please let me know how to enable it. I am using XMetaL(R) Author Enterprise 5.5 Service Pack 1

Usually* a disabled menu item means that XMetaL cannot find the macro that was named in the OnAction property of the menu item when you created it. Check to be sure that the OnAction property of the menu item is an exact match for the name of the macro.
When you are working on customizing menus/toolbars, be sure always to "reset the workspace" (holding down the Ctrl key while relaunching XMetaL) to ensure that XMetaL is freshly rebuilding all the menus and toolbars.
* "Usually", because it is also possible to forcibly disable menu items via script code. But I'm guessing that you are not doing that here.
