Hi folks,
Any idea how to make DITA map editor to honor that I disabled domain
mapgroup with elements topichead and topicgroup ??

I believe the DITA Options dialog picks up whatever domains are in the DTD, so it gives you options to hide map domains. Unfortunately, as far as I know, the feature to show/hide domains is incompletely implemented, so it only affects the Element List in the XML view of the map.
In future releases we'd like to make the Map Editor more customizable, and also make it easier in general to subset DITA by hiding the ability to insert the elements that you don't use.
