Dear Sir/Madam,

 I know that we can setup XMetaL Author to make backup file when saving changes. Normally XMetaL saves the backup file into the same folder as the orginal file. Is there any way to instruct XMetaL to save the backup file into other folder rather than the same folder as the orginal file?

No, there is no such feature at this time. We have a list of improvements to investigate and making improvements to the backup feature is on that list.
