Install XMetaL Author Enterprise 6 w/o deinstalling XMetaL Author 4.6 ?

Hi!

Is there a way to install the XMetaL Author Enterprise 6.0 - Trial without deinstalling XMetaL Author 4.6 ? I would like to test it but can't change the productive system.

You cannot do this on the same installation of Windows. The only real way to do this is to run multiple copies of Windows on the same machine and install a different version of XMetaL Author in each.

Essentially what this really means is running Windows in a virtual machine of some kind (such as Microsoft Virtual PC or VMWare).

Virtual Box is running.
But during XMetaL 6 installation I'm getting an error (XMetaL6inVB1.png).
After 'Ignore' the installation process is proceeded but close before end it stops with a second message (XMetaL6inVB2.png).

Do you have an idea how to get it running?

Which version of Windows is running and under which type of virtual machine?

After I've got the same error messages with VMware Workstation, I thought it must be the Windows XP Prof SP 1. So I tried SP 2 and now, everything is fine. Thanks again!
