No Repository Functions Available for Bookmap in Resource Manager

We're using XMetaL EE 5.5 with Documentum 6.5 SP1. When we open bookmaps in the Resource Manager, we can't select Repository functions (they are greyed out). So for example, we can't check in the bookmap from the RM. Instead we must switch to the XML view to check in. Is this working as designed?

Yes, this is expected behavior with the XMetaL Author Enterprise 5.5 release + Documentum connector (officially called "XMetaL Author Enterprise for Documentum Webtop 2.0").
In the 5.5 release bookmaps are read-only while open in the Map Editor (the editor that sits in a tab in the Resource Manager) and the Repository menu functions are also disabled. This means you must work with bookmaps in TagsOn/Normal view (aka: "XML View of Map") in order to interact with Documentum functionality for this map type (or other specialized DITA maps if you have created specialized DTDs for maps).
With XMetaL Author Enterprise 6.0 you can (already) edit bookmaps and other specialized map types in the Map Editor (with some limitations). I believe the plan is to also enable appropriate functionality in the Repository menu when we release the next version of our Documentum connector that will be compatible with XMetaL Author Enterprise 6.0. The date for that release has not been finalized, but I believe it is probably Q2 2010.

OK got it, thanks Derek.
We should be getting to your 6.0 release in the 3Q10 timeframe, so we'll look forward to additional bookmap in RM support at that time.
