getting breakpoints to fire in javascript in XMetal Developer 5.1 XFT functions

I'm having trouble getting breakpoints to work in javascript that's associated with functions in XFT forms. I can set and hit breakpoints in macros that are in my XMetaL Developer projects but I can't get breakpoints to work in javascript that is associated with XFT form functions. I've tried using the debugger statement to get the debugger to wake up but this doesn't work.
Has anyone else gotten this to work?
I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and XMetaL Developer Version 5.1.1.049.
thx,
g

I'm having the same problem with XMetaL Developer 6.0. Are there any solutions to this issue?
