Product(s):
XMAX Spell Checker (Writing Tools) 4.0+

Description:
In the case where XMAX is embedded in an HTML page being viewed in Internet Explorer, launching the Spell Checker may fail if you have the Google Toolbar installed. This may occur siliently and with no feedback to the user.

Resolution:
The only known fix for this issue is to uninstall the Google Toolbar.

Note: Launching the Spell Checker is done by calling the XMAX API ShowSpellChecker(). How this is implemented will depend on the application that is hosting XMAX and not every application that embeds XMAX will have implemented this functionality. Also note that the spell checker and thesaurus (collectively referred to as the Writing Tools) are separate installations for XMAX requiring an additional installer to be run.
