I noticed with the CMS integration read-only mode there are some options disabled that I don’t think need to be. For example the DITA options in the tools menu or the open referenced file when right-clicking on a conref of xrf. I can understand disabling the refresh references since it modifies the file, but the above items I don’t think modify the files in any way.

This disabling functionality is (probably) specific to the CMS connector.
Which CMS are you using?
