XMetal Author and Windows 7

I am working on XMetal Author for my client. Now they are going to shift in windows 7 environment from XP. But I think it will raise some issues for dictionary files as the folder structure is absent in win 7. So is it true or not? If true then is there any solution for it. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

No, this should not be an issue. Our installer will successfully install the "Writing Tools" here in this case:
%ProgramFiles%\Corel\Shared\XMetaL\Writing Tools

If you do not find that folder with the "writing tools" software installed then you may be running on 64-bit Windows 7. In this case you should check here:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Corel\Shared\XMetaL\Writing Tools

Note that 64-bit versions of Windows are currently not officially supported (up to and including all versions of XMetaL Author 6.0). Official support is coming with our 7.0 release. I wondering if he might be more wondering about the custom dictionary files in the “my documents” folder.   In windows 7 it’s a little different; there is a library and then the “Documents” folder in the library.  The documents folder in the in library in windows 7 is used the same way the “my document’s” was in xp if i am not mistaken.  XMetal saves the dictionary and example files to that folder. It is generally in %USERPROFILE%\Documents. That could be changed though by the user. It can be set on a local user or in active directory on the user account in the home holder section on the profile tab in the user properties (I think).  You could programmatically get that location from the registry in the key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\.
 Alternately you could use an absolute folder for the custom dictionary files.

(thanks gcrews)...so if you are looking for the "user word list" files (*.uwl) then they will be here by default:

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Corel User Files\XMetaL 4

The end user has the option to select a UWL file located elsewhere (in the Spell Checker "Options") but by default they will be taken to the folder above when they browse for a file. If they make no changes to the options for UWL files then the software will write any words they "Add" (so that they are skipped over in future) to a UWL file with a name that corresponds to their current spell checking language in that folder.
