I am running XMetal 5.5 essential. Today I started getting a pop-up message "Run-time Error Line 4, Column 4" with the description: "XMDK_SERVICE_OK is undefined."

What is this and how do I stop it?

Hello,

Are you seeing this error message when doing particular tasks, or does it appear whenever you start XMetaL? If there is a particular set of steps for reproducing the issue, that would be helpful in troubleshooting.

Most likely, though, the problem is that a critical file has become corrupted or has gone missing, and the procedure for uninstalling and reinstalling XMetaL would be worth trying:

I forgot to mention that before doing the uninstall-reinstall, you should try doing a "repair" of the installation using the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.
