Hi!

I'm currently evaluating XMetaL 6 with DITA on Windows 7.
However, it does not seem to be possible to maximize the content tabs to the full capacity of my 1920x1200 monitor (see attached screenshot). Or is there some yet unknown setting I have to make?

Thanks in advance!
Michael

Unfortunately I don't have any hardware handy that will let me go to this resolution to confirm myself, but a limitation like this is logged in our list of issues to look into along with a few other things related to display (the others are specific to multiple monitor configurations).

Well, maybe you can now convince your CTO to go for decent 30" screens, just to make sure?

But seriously: Yes, it's an additional monitor attached to a notebook (native 1280x800). As I have no HDMI yet, the monitor is connected via an USB->DVI link, but I've also tried it with a VGA connection with the same result.

And you were right with the multi-monitor issue: When I make this screen the primary one, all works well on _both_ displays. Maybe this helps your developers locate the problem?

Yeah. If the primary monitor is a lower resolution than a secondary monitor it may not expand completely.

OK, so it's just a plain, ugly bug...

XMetaL 7?

All the best

It is on the list of things to look at but at this time I can't say if a fix will make it into any specific release.

I used my own money to buy three 30" monitors - XMetaL (4, 5.5, and 6) will use all three monitors; an individual file will not expand beyond the dimensions of the primary monitor but the space can easily be filled by a few (or a few dozen) topics.

Due to the bug of a topic not expanding beyond the dimensions of the primary display I set up my laptop to use the external 30" monitor as primary when it's connected.
